Where are you located?
We are located inside REDUX Massage studio close to Downtown Matthews. The address is 547 W Charles St. suite 400 Matthews, NC 28105.
-
Do you take insurance?
We are currently in the process of getting credentialed with Medicare. We do not accept private insurance. If you have a high deductible health plan, self pay can be more affordable. If you have out of network insurance benefits, you may be able to be reimbursed for our cash-based PT services through a superbill.
-
How many sessions of private pilates do you recommend?
It all depends on your goals. If you would like to do a couple private sessions to learn the basics about form and feel more comfortable on the reformer before returning to a group class elsewhere, I would recommend 3-5. If you are looking for regular pilates privates, 1x/week is a great place to start!

How many sessions of dry needling are recommended?
Dry needling is one tool in a toolbox to help you feel better. Sometimes, one session of dry needling is enough to get the release and tissue change we are looking for. Other times, several sessions are recommend over a period of time. Stretches, strengthening, and mobility exercises are recommended to follow dry needling to enhance its effectiveness.
-
How are your PT sessions different from a traditional physical therapy clinic?
In a traditional physical therapy clinic, sessions are typically only 40-45 minutes and sometimes not one-on-one. Insurance companies are unfortunately in the driver’s seat, and limit what you can address and how long you can be seen. Additionally, insurance companies do not pay physical therapists for wellness services, which is what some of our services fall under.

Why should I do pilates based physical therapy?
Pilates based physical therapy involves the use of a reformer that uses spring tension to add load to specific exercises. The moving carriage of the pilates reformer facilitates increased use of stabilizing musculature and core engagement. Pilates based rehab is also a great way to start your pilates journey, as continued participation in pilates after rehab will help achieve lasting wellness.
